The 21st CII Global Sustainability Summit concluded last week in Delhi, bringing together industry leaders and sustainability practitioners to discuss how businesses can build more responsible, resilient and sustainable value chains.
During the session “From Suppliers to Strategic Partners: Reimagining Sustainable Value Chains,” Madhur Khaitan, MD, WMW Industries Ltd., Jaipur, shared his perspective on the importance of moving beyond a compliance-driven approach to sustainability and making responsible business practices an integral part of organisational growth.
As Madhur Khaitan highlighted, “What you measure is what you can improve.” For MSMEs, sustainability must go beyond a tick-the-box approach. It is about demonstrating genuine respect and responsibility towards the environment and embedding sustainable practices into the way businesses operate.
Visible responsibility can create value beyond environmental impact. It can help businesses build trust, attract new customers and engage forward-looking employees, strengthening the foundation of an organisation for the long term.
BVK Group is a founding member of the CII Sustainability initiative and is proud to contribute to this collective journey. Through continued engagement with the MSME community and industry leaders, BVK Group remains committed to learning, sharing and advancing responsible business practices.
The discussions at the summit reinforced the importance of measurable action, continuous improvement and collective responsibility in building sustainable value chains and creating long-term business resilience.
